About Me

I am the current Program Manager for the Sacramento branch of the American Conservation Experience Pacific West CREW Division. I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2020 with a B.S. in Ecology and a focus in wildlife and conservation. My research covered a number of topics in anthropogenic impacts on freshwater environments. I spent multiple semesters studying the ubiquity of microplastics from numerous sources, monitored post wildfire painted turtle populations, and assessed the impacts of land use on streams in the Adirondack watershed. After graduating I spent time working as a roving conservation technician throughout Idaho and California on projects that included trail maintenance, invasive species management, fuels reduction, rangeland management, and habitat restoration. I went on to work as a forestry technician for the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho specializing in trails, wildland firefighting, and chainsaw operations. I also maintain a certification as a wilderness emergency medical technician (W-EMT) and have a passion for teaching wilderness emergency medicine.
